Hello! It’s May already! It’s springtime and there is so much going on! Our layers are out in their "eggmobile" and the pullets are now producing right along with our mature hens. They really do love having free access to natural grit, green grass, and bugs.

 

The sheep have rotated around both pastures and are now doing a grand job of mowing and fertilizing the lawn before they cross over to the neighbor’s field. Our first batch of broilers are out in their mobile tractor and the second batch arrives this next week. Our next project will be installing the walk-in cooler in time for our first processing day. ​As mentioned in our last newsletter, we are giving a call out for help for our 3 processing dates. For a better idea of what that involves please see the attached description of the day and where you may be able to join in and help.
