PROJECTS/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are many renovations and transformations going on at Sovereign Hilltop!
Along with the usual daily practices of feeding, watering, moving fences and chicken tractors, gathering eggs, processing chickens, shearing sheep, trimming hooves, planting, cultivating, weeding, harvesting, installing, repairing, and fixing, we are sorting and measuring what resources we have and are beginning to organize projects to bring it all into fruition.
Below, are the projects we will be working on this winter.

Projects
Barn Renovation
Our goal is to transition the horse barn into a multi use space. There are several facets to the renovation which we will be doing in phases. Most everything has been cleared out and we are ready to begin. The first phase will be removing the siding and walls. We are looking for a planer to repurpose the lumber. Much of the lumber is perfectly reusable. We would like to have the boards freed of nails, sized, planed, and stacked for future use.

Wood Stage
We will be building a 32’ x 40’ stage for the indoor arena. We are currently pricing materials for this project. Chris has designed the construction and will be leading us through the process.Volunteer dates for this project will be announced
Electricity
We will enhance our electrical system to furnish electricity to the barn and the indoor arena. We will have a lighting and sound system by next year to accompany events.
The decision-making process on this project is in the hands of Central Hudson, the Town of Northeast, and our Electrician, Ken Harper.
